The intent of GRAVES CCS is to provide support services for cardiovascular surgery clinics.
Kirk Graves is a qualified cardiovascular perfusionist available for short or long term assignments, cerified by the European Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ECCP) and with a Bachelor of Arts in Education (BA).
Graves began his training in the cardiovascular field in 1969 at Walter Reed General Hospital in Washington D.C. and the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland (USA) as a US Army Specialist. Over the years, Graves worked in various University Hospitals in the US and in Europe as a cardiovascular perfusionist.
GRAVES CCS provides the following temporary or long term perfusion support:
perfusion support for all adult cardiovascular procedures;
technical support with setup and bedside monitoring for all patients assisted with v-v and v-a Extra-Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO);
endoscopic vein graft and radial artery harvesting and surgical assistance;
technical assistance and assessment with bedside Sonoclot Coagulation & Platelet Function Analysis;
as well as quality initiative support for:
Safe Surgery Saves Lives (SSSL) procedures;
Critical Incident Reporting Systems (CIRS);
clinical outcome reporting, database summaries;
and educational / proofreading services:
didactic and wet-lab teaching and instruction;
English proofreading for cardiovascular oriented abstracts and publications.
